The site covers about 15,000 suburb boundaries nationwide. A typical profile includes population, housing, crime and safety, schools and preschools, public transport, roadworks, planning and development, weather, amenities, parks, health access, socio-economic (SEIFA), heritage, childcare, hazards, green cover, and a Desirability Index score. Data comes from sources such as the Australian Bureau of Statistics (census, SEIFA, ASGS remoteness), state and territory open-data portals, national transport GTFS feeds, OpenStreetMap, Open-Meteo weather, and jurisdiction-specific crime, housing, planning, and roadworks datasets where they are published openly. Each metric on a profile lists its publisher, reporting period, and refresh cadence. Suburb Guide does not sell property, take accounts, or give financial, legal, or migration advice. Figures are for research and should be checked against official sources before any decision. Coverage of some metrics varies by state because not every jurisdiction publishes suburb-level feeds. The Australian Suburb Desirability Index (ASDI) scores each suburb out of 100 across eight weighted pillars: Safety, Housing, Education, Accessibility, Lifestyle, Environment, Future Growth, and Community.
