By accessing suburb.guide (“Suburb Guide”, “the site”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What we provide

Suburb Guide publishes suburb profiles, rankings, and summaries compiled from Australian government and open data. Content is provided for general information and research only.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is property, financial, investment, legal, migration, or tax advice. Desirability scores, AI-generated summaries, and statistics are interpretive. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for buying property, relocating, lending, or other significant decisions. Verify facts with official sources and qualified professionals.

Data accuracy and freshness

We source data from third parties and refresh it on rolling schedules. Data may be incomplete, outdated, mis-mapped to suburb boundaries, or incorrect. Crime, planning, housing, and other metrics vary in coverage by state. Each profile shows source attribution and freshness where available.

• We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.
• Boundaries and suburb names follow ABS and agency definitions, which may differ from colloquial usage.
• Summaries are generated automatically and may omit nuance or contain errors.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape or bulk-download the site in a way that impairs service for others (the public API, where offered, is the preferred machine-readable access).
• Attempt to bypass security, probe systems, or introduce malware.
• Republish substantial portions of the site without attribution or in breach of upstream data licences.
• Misrepresent Suburb Guide content as official government publication.

Intellectual property

Site design, summaries, desirability methodology, and original presentation are owned by Suburb Guide. Underlying statistics remain subject to their publishers' terms (ABS Open Licence, state open-data licences, OpenStreetMap ODbL, etc.). Where attribution is shown on a profile, preserve it if you reuse that data.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Suburb Guide and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the site or its content, including indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to AUD $100 or re-supply of the relevant information, whichever is greater, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (including under the Australian Consumer Law).

The site links to external publishers and maps. We are not responsible for third-party content or privacy practices.

Changes and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site or these terms at any time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in South Australia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights elsewhere in Australia.
