In Canterbury-Bankstown Council, Roselands is a settled established suburb with a familiar suburban feel and good links to the wider city. Working households and growing families are the backbone of local life, with plenty of young families in the mix. A large share of residents were born overseas, and languages other than English are widely spoken at home.
Families have many nearby school and early-learning options to choose from. Green space punches above what many metro suburbs offer, with parks and playgrounds woven through the suburb. Reasonably walkable — many errands reachable on foot or by bus, and buses help with longer trips.
Housing is expensive relative to much of the state. A trickle of new development is refreshing selected pockets without changing the overall feel.
